One lawsuit will do nicely. The theory is this: the tortfeaser is liable for all consequences which flow from his negligent act(s). Even if the operations to "fix" were performed by another surgeon, the wrongdoer is liable for the consequences. I wonder if there is some fraud involved. Why on earth would she continue to go to this doctor after knowing he erred?
