I have attempted to locate an expert who can testify about the policies and procedures regarding medical care to inmates in Florida. I have a friend who received a worker's comp injury in 1991. He got arrested in 1992 and was put in jail. A doctor, who was not affiliated with the jail, informed my friend that he needed back surgery and set a date. The jail did not transport my friend to the doctor's appointment and suffered for approximately 3 months. Another inmate at the same facility died as a result of inadequate medical care and others have complained but nothing has been done to correct the problems of this jail. Is there any way you can give me the name of an expert who can testify on the policies and procedures that the jail should have followed?
