My husband awoke at five in the morning with the classic symptoms of a heart attack. He and I walked three blocks to the nearest hospital and told the nurse that we were members of a prepaid medical group. The nurse said that the hospital didn't accept that type of medical plan. The nurse telephoned one of the doctors assigned to treat members of the group that we belong to who was in the hospital at the time. The doctor told my husband to go home and call a physician from the medical group when the group's office opened in the morning. The nurse and the physician refused to give my husband any more attention. My husband and I went home and while he was undressing he dropped to the floor dying of a heart attack. Is this a medical negligence case?
