negligence or malpractice

I want to keep this story brief though it goes on for over 6 months of pain and suffering for my family and grandmother. In August she had open hart at which time she did not wake for 1 full week. She know lives in and out of intensive care, has a trakiotomy(spelling?), feeding tube, & has had everything possible go wrong. Approx 3 months after surgey we had a dr. confirence and agreeded this is not a way to live and granted no resuscitation should this situation occur. Grandma also consented & requested not to be revived. She has been resuscitated 2x since. Each time the drs. give a rediculious reason why it has been done. Puts our family back to the begining of this nightmare over and over and I can no longer handly the pain, depression, and negligence. At our last family doctor consoltation(about 5 wks ago) we talked why she had been revived since our original talks and told what I feel is a poor excuss. We all agian in front of her nirse agreed should it happen again--no reviving her and let her be at pieace, but it happened agian. Most recently 1pm 1/2/97. She may be brain dead now, we do not know how long her brain had no oxygen for 24-48 hrs(this is what the dors said). They can provide me with no reason I feel confortable with as to whay they brought her back again. If she is brain dead, we will trun life support off, they will probubly revive her after that at this point. She would be in heaven know had for the 3rd time this error not happen. I can not imagin going to see her tomorrow again so thin, weak, helpless and frail. I wouldn't be surprised if the orders never got to her file regarding resuscitation. One time is excusible ( at least that is what I am being told) This is pathetic nad scary that it could happen to someone else.
