I became physically addicted to Ultram after using it for eight months at a dose of 200 mg/day (for chronic sciatic pain). I worked with an addictions specialist to get off; it took four months and we had to add Depakote and Xanax for the horrible anxiety and panic attacks that ensued. Now I find that both parotid glands are infected and have had four surgeries thus far to correct the situation, which we believe was caused by Ultram. Also just found out thyroid is low. Since thyroid gland takes its orders from the pituitary gland which gets its orders from the hypothalamus - and Ultram acts on the hypothalamus - we can't help but wonder if Ultram is also the culprit in this case. Do you have info on a class action suit as I have spent thousands of dollars and had to go on part-time work for six months to cope with this.
